Three Broomsticks

Subject: Three Broomsticks Sat Jul 28, 2007 10:03 pm

Harriate walked into the pub and walked silently to the bar. Ordering a butterbeer she left a few coins on the bar and made her way to a seat in the back corner where she could see everyone. Harriate took the guitar off her back and sat down. Sipping on her butterbeer Harriate checked the tuning before quitly playing the guitar.

Tina had been sitting at another table in a corner and when her friends left, she began to listen to Harriate playing. Tina thought she played really well - better that Tina, anyway, who only new about five chords! She went to the bar and got another drink, and when Harriate paused, Tina went over to her "You're really good! Can i join you?" She said, as some more people came in to the pub.

harriate looked up startled but not.
'of course. Free country. Im just practicing.'
Taking another sip of butterbeer Harriate glanced around to see more people entering.
'Do you go to Hogwarts? I dont really know many people there so sorry if that offend you.'

Tina smiled "Yeah - 4th year Revenclaw." Tina took a long sip from her butterbeer as she wathed the dust dancing in the light."Let me guess...your Slytherin?" Tina said with a wink;)

Harriate nodded smirking slightly.
'yep but its my first year here. Im in sixth year.'

Tina took another sip and began to hum the tune Harriete had played quietly. "How did you do in your owls? I'm lucky - I haven't got them till next year." Tina was less anxious about exams than the average student, but she still couldn't keep the relief out of her voice.

Harriate smiled. 'my old school was a little different to hogwarts, I suppose if you convert the grades over i got mostly O's and EE's. Got one A but thats because there was a disturbance in the exam. one of the wards fell so we had to get out of the hall.'

Tina looked shocked "wow...bad luck!!" she grinned "An accident or a student desperate to get out of the Exam?"

Tina grinned and winked "Oh, I believe you!" she sipped some more of her butterbeer. "Will you play another song?"

Lupin walked into the bar and walked up to the bar, getting a few odd looks from some of the locals in there.

He took a seat on a stall at the bar and ordered a firewisky. He paid the barwomen and then swigged his drink back.

Tina watched Lupin enter as she thought, then said excitedly "Ooh play something of your own - no - wait - play what you played at the start of term ball! That was rely good - and i love your style!" Tina loved to wear black and she thought what Harriate had worn was really cool.

'Tell you what. ill show you one i have just finished writing.Its called broken' Harriate said and pulled out an old note book placing it infront of her. Grabbing the pick of the table harriate started playing then started singing.

"Wow you're really good!" Tina said, and did a silly applause. "Are you in a band?"

Lupin didn't know what they were talking about, had too much on his mind.

He swigging his drink and leaned on the bar waiting for someone to walk in..

He put his drink down and looking into it in a dream like state

"Oh, I didn't." Tina said. She took a swig of her drink and finished it. "I just thought you're really good, and you should be in a band. Who are your influences?" Tina asked eagerly. She was very passionate about music - muggle music mostly, but some young wizard bands were ok.

'I dont really have any. Well, if i did it would just be my emotions for people. I normaly write about a few specific people.' Harriate shruugged.

Harriate grabbed the butterbeer and sipped on it some more.
'Means i got a wide variety of songs. Lots of depressive, a few love. and all for different instruments.'

Lupin looked at his watch and then swigged his drink draining it.

He got a refill and then heard a thud on the window and got up and left..,

He came back a few moments later with a letter, which was scrunched up.

He put it on the bar and went back to his drink looking a little disheartened

"Yeah, I seem unable to write stuff that isn't depressing!" she laughed. "One minute..." she said to Harriate. She had been watching Professor Lupin. She walked slowly over to him. "Professor...is everything all right?" she said timidly.
