The Yule Ball

There was a large open space in the great hall for the dancing to take place. Chairs and tables were around the edge of the hall and by the main entrance full of food and drinks or sorts.
Arthur had helped get it ready and was sitting at a table picking on peanuts and drinking some pumpkin juice. Snow flasked fell from the ceiling and the walls where covered in ice, making it looked christmasy and festive.

Harry slowly made his way in, his eyes swept over the room and it's now new appreance, he then looked up and saw the snow fall, he squinted thinking that he would feel the small coldness of snow as it landed on his nose, but instead as the snow fell it vanished halfway, turning his head he noticed the food table and he almost drifted over to the table and poured himself a goblet of the punch that had been made, it all seemed very festive, and must of taken ages to put together, taking a sip of his drink he looked around at the staliticks of ice hanging of the walls and small parts of the cealing. almost a winter wounderland.

Veronica walked into the Great Hall, noticing it had a very different appearance. She was wearing a long, black spaghetti strap dress and black heels. She looked around, her bare arms getting a little cold. She walked over and said hello to some of the professors and waited for more people to arrive.

Pase did not intend on dancing, he just wanted to be, there, as he allways was. he walked silently into the room, a slight music was playing, not many people had arrived yet, so music was somewhat scarce, the souroundings seemed, happy. It was like christmas inside. He went and stood near te fountain.

Veronica walked over to the refreshments table, not noticing Harry, and grabbed a cup of pumpkin juice. She then turned around, leaning against the table and taking a sip of her drink, looking toward the door.

Scarlet walked into the Great Hall. Her hair was twisted up at the back of her head and held with a clip. She was wearing a gold dress. The dress was knee length and had thin straps. The material was floating and translucent nearest the knees. Scarlet looked around. The hall was beautiful: There were tree's covered in snow, which was falling from the ceiling. There was ice on the walls which glittered in the light. There was a stage where the Staff table would have been and there was a band performing there song. Scarlet smiled and looked round for some of her friends. She spotted Harry and made her way over to him. "Harry!" Scarlet said, smiling. "How are you? What do you think of this? It's beautiful, huh?"

Harry glanced over and saw Scarlet approach "hey" he smiled a simple friendly hello "and yeah this Hall is great and may i say so is your appearence" he smiled alittle again and took a sip of his drink looking around the hall

Annabelle walked into the great hall in her long elagant emerald and dark green dress. She glided accross the floor towards the food table. Obviously tripping a couple of times due to her high heels which she wasn't used to. She grabbed a cup of punch, gulped it down in one and wiped her mouth. "Hey Scarlet!" She just realized Scarlet standing. "How are you?"

Ginny walked into the hall wearing a red dress that reached her knees and was strapless, she had black shoes on and her hair was out in loose curls with a clip on one side.She walked into the hall and spotted Harry and Scarlet, " hi you two" Ginny smiled and looked at Scarlet " you look great !"

Harry was about to take a sip of his drink then he spotted Ginny gracefully, almost gliding over towards them and at that moment his mouth slightly dropped, she looked undoubtibably amazing, he held the cup infront of his mouth he had almost forgotten he was holding one, his eyes swept over Ginny's appearence from head to toe but he couldn't help the fact, that his eyes seemed to linger slightly on her legs, he was speechless. he felt an instant urge to pull her to him and kiss her senseless, he felt his heart begin to pick up pace.

Arthur remained seated in the hall sipping his drink. He looked over to Harry and Ginny and gave a little wave to them
"Glad you both made it, thought you were going to have, cold feet." he said laughing at his own joke.

Smiling Ginny looked at Harry , " hey Harry, looking nice as always" she laughed a little and stood beside him " so having fun ?" Ginny asked

it took him a moment to realise he was being spoken to "oh..uh..yeah great time actually and you look..well..just wow.." Harry slightly looked away embrassed and lowed his cup then he looked up and saw Mr Weasley approach "oh hello Mr weasley, and yeah i came, dosn't mean i'm going to dance though.." he laughed slightly and gave a small smile to Ginny then one to Arthur

"Oh come on Harry, it's a dance, you have to at least once, just to say you did it, nothing to be embarrased about." he said with a warm smile "Everyone is being mad to, plus, you might like it." he said giving Harry and wink and a nudge with his elbow.

Ginny blushed a little at Harry and smiled " thanks , thats the impression i was going for," she laughed and turned to her father " Hi dad, like i would miss the opertunity to dress up" laughing she looked around " its so pretty in here!"
