Waiting

Rose sat on a bench outside the Shrieking Shack. It was a strangely peaceful place, despite the stories. She kept running over the events of the previous night in her head: the dog, Gary's limp body on the floor, Marcius' kiss...

She didn't know who or what she was waiting for, but there was an air of anticipation around. She tucked her legs under herself and crossed her arms to keep warm in the chill breeze. It really was becoming winter.
