The Yule Ball

"Oh, your singing was, errm...great! It was the song..." Rose distracted herself for a moment with her drink.

"yeah sure..." He smiled and grabbed a drink from the table. "Is this alcoholic?"

"No idea..." She sniffed it, breathing in the heady aroma. "I think maybe a small amount, you know, like butterbeer, but nothing too sensational."

Gary sighed. "What a shame!" He laughed and took a sip.

"I quite agree!" Looking around furtively, Rose downed her drink and drew out her wand from inside her dress. "Do you want something a bit more, shall we say, exciting?" she asked, voice lowered conspiratorially.

Gary giggled like a girl. "Go on then. Let's let our hair down!" He laughed.

Lavender sat there feeling quite board. She played wit her hair and dress hoping that would pass the time but it didn't, not really.

"Excellent...I'll have some Rosé, I think..." She waved her wand, causing a stream of the pink fizzy liquid to run from the tip to her cup. "What do you want?"

"Hmmm i might join you on that one. Havent had it for yonks!" HE smiled and held out his glass.

"Alright then!" She poured some rosé for him too and held out her cup. "Cheers!"

"Cheers. Here's to staying friends and not abondaning each other like a certain someone!" He laughed and chinked his glass against Rose's.

Lavender got up and started walking towards the drinks table. She thought what was the point on being here? She wasn't talking to anyone and she was preety board. She thought to her self "The only reason I came here was to see if Ron was here, but he isn't! I'm wasting my time anyway...he is with Hermione the only way I'm going to get him to like me is...." Lavender had a sudden idea. She knew it would have to wait untill the next time she went to Hogsmeade but she knew there as a high chance it would work! She reached the drinks table and got herself a butter beer.

Roxy walked up behind Lavender and tapped her shoulder hoping it was Lavender.
"Hey!"
She Smiled, she liked Lavender ass they got on rather well.

Lavender turned around and smiled. It was Roxy "Hey Roxy, how are you?" she asked. it had been a little whiled since they last talked. Last time they talked they got on really well. That what she liked about her friendship with Roxy, the fact they got on really well.

"Brilliant, Super. You Hunny?"
Did she actually say Hunny to Lavender who wasnt a Slytherin, She must really like there friendship. She didnt use that much. Oh Well Must Have ben the fact that she was in love and didnt realise what she had been saying.

Ron approched the drinks table, hoping no one would notice him. His slim figure might just be able to slide past everyone if he held his stomache in as he made his way to the drinks table.

Andrea dozing off for quite a long bit went next to Gary, smiling a bit. "Hey guys." Drea said smiling but She was still looking for Gabby then said after 10-15 minutes "Be right back a sec." Drea walked to Gabby and said "Gabby can you do me a favor? If you want though."

She noticed Ron. "Hello Ron!" Gabby grinned. "Anyway, love the DRESS you're wearing!" She winked. Her mischievous behaviour suddenly came out of her...

Roxy Rubbed her wrist and a flash of something black showed. She hoped that no one had seen and took another swig of her butterbeer with alchol.

Gary stared at Roxy's wrist. Maybe he had just imagined it but he thought he had seen a bit of black.... He walked over to Rosy, he didn't care if she was going to be nasty but he had to know.

Roxy turned around and saw Gary. "Yes..?" She said sharply.

"Errr can i have a word?" He looked at her friends and added. "In private?"

Roxy rolled her eyes and walked out of the yule ball with Gary.
"What?!"
She said impatently.

"Its just that... well... i thought i saw.. the err Dark Mark or something on your arm." He looked away, worried that he was wrong. 'It would explain why she was being moody' he thought to himself.

She showed Gary It.
"Going to run now?"
She looked away and coverd her arm again.
